Get a Free Copy: Ako’y Isang Mabuting Filipino by Noel Cabangon!
Here’s a recommended read this summer. It’s a book about Filipino values we should teach our kids.
What does it take to be a good Filipino? Not much, if you ask singer, songwrite, and now children’s book author Noel Cabangon.
To be a good Filipino simply means waiting for your turn, using the pedestrian lanes, getting off at the designated stops, and taking care of your surroundings. These and other values are listed in his book, “Ako’y Isang Mabuting Pilpino,” which was initially a song he composed for and sang during the inauguration of President Noynoy Aquino.
The words are simple and easy for kids to understand. And like most Filipino children’s books, there’s an English translation.
To better appreciate the message of the song, each page is beautifully illustrated by Jomike Tejido. Tejido painted the colorful images on banig or hand woven mats, resulting in a very Filipino style.
Published by LAMPARA BOOKS, “Ako’y Isang Mabuting Filipino” is available in Precious Pages Bookstore and National Bookstore for P74.75 only.
Absolutely Mommy is giving away copies of the limited, hardbound edition of the book. Simply share what values you believe are important for children to learn and send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org till April 30!
