The Robot Zoo

Want to get up close and personal with a giant chameleon? Find out how bats can see and try hanging upside down like one. Join a turtle race and see how fast you can swat a fly.

A chorus of “Cool!” “Wow!” and “Oh yeah!” filled the air as kids rushed from one larger-than-life animal robot to the other at The Robot Zoo at the SM Mall of Asia one Saturday while us moms looked on and snapped pictures.

The Robot Zoo, a traveling exhibit that has toured science and natural history museums in North America and Europe, is in town for a limited stay. The exhibit is at the Nido Fortified Science Discovery Center in MOA.

The robot animals which include a giant squid with 18-foot tentacles and a giraffe whose head and neck can stretch up to 9 feet, have exposed mechanisms that simulate how these animals move in real life.

What’s more, kids will be able to freely move and manipulate these animals!

Apart from the amazing critters, there are more than a dozen hands-on activity stations that provide fun opportunities for discovery and learning.

Kids can see for themselves how a housefly sticks to the ceiling and what it feels like to change colors like a chameleon.

If you’re looking for a cool place to visit with your kids, check out the Robot Zoo and see the nature has engineered some of the fascinating creatures found in our planet!

Absolutely Mommy is giving you and your kids an opportunity to engage in a weekend of discovery because we are giving away (4) four tickets to the Robot Zoo!
