This Weekend: Doodle to Save the Tamaraw!
DOODLE AND SAVE ENDANGERED WILDLIFE!
Draw a safer world for endangered Philippine wildlife at the WWF Doodle Day on April 21 at the Shangri-La Plaza Grand Atrium!
Together with the Doodle Art Enthusiasts, you can enjoy a fun day of drawing elephants, rhinos, tigers, sea turtles, whales and dolphins, whale sharks, manta rays, sea horses, tamaraw, and the Philippine eagle.
Help save the critically endangered tamaraw. WWF-Philippines and its conservation partners have an ambitious goal: to double wild tamaraw numbers from 300 to 600 by 2020.
Your registration fee of Php 300 for the WWF Doodle Day will help carry out this goal. You get a doodle kit and access to other fun activities like face painting, henna tattooing, and portrait sketching.
Registration is ongoing at the following sites:

SAVE THE MANILA BAY!
Haribon and the Cultural Center of the Philippines will celebrate Earth Day with various activities to raise awareness on saving the environment.
One of the highlights of “Save Manila Bay” is the Green Link, where advocates and artists will transform the seawall promenade along Roxas Boulevard into a venue for stand-up comedy, dance, play music, and other performances from 8:00–9:00am.
Haribon will hold storytelling sessions, art workshops, and filmscreenings. It will be a whole day affair on April 21, Sunday.
EARTH DAY AT THE MIND MUSEUM
Learn about dinosaurs and “make” fossils at the Earth Day activities at the Mind Museum, also on April 21. There will be a filmshowing and art workshop as well. For more information, go to www.themindmuseum.org.

Catch Cartoon Network’s Advernture Land heroes Finn & Jake at the SM Mall of Asia Music Hall on April 20, Saturday. Experience the Land of Ooo with fun games and cool prizes. Admission is free!
Learn about homeschooling from other parents. Chat, share, and exchange your views with other homeschooling moms on April 20, Saturday from 9 to 11 am at the Medela House in New Manila. There’s a registration fee of P250 or you can buy P500 worth of toys and books.
