When A Mom Goes Shopping For (Her) Clothes at Children’s Stores!
I love to shop at children’s stores and boutiques and seeing all those neat outfits that I wish they had in my size. Before I gave birth, I did buy a few tops and dresses for myself at the children’s section.
But with my post-baby belly, butt, and hips, I’ve learned to ignore the pretty skirts and dresses. Yesterday, however, while I was out shopping for my son, I couldn’t resist trying on a few girl clothes.
And, lo and behold, they fit!
Thank you, retailers, for sizes 14, & 16!
These are my fashion finds!
This pretty graphic tee is from Justice, a store that caters to tweens. But they do have up to size 18!
The soft, flirty skirt and the black shorts with lace pockets are from Kids of Bayo. I also got them at 50% off!
This dress is from Gingersnaps!
Shopping at children’s stores is great for my self-esteem. It makes me feel young (and slim) finding clothes my size. It’s great on the pocket, too since some of the children’s line are cheaper than the adult version. 🙂
